FIRST MEETINGS
Paranoid, anxious, and short-tempered, Knife does their best keep their back to a wall and head on a swivel. Everything is a threat until proven safe, and they will resort to egregious violence in order to establish themselves as someone to not fuck with if pressed too much. Until then, they stay at a wary distance, interjecting with cynicism and dry sarcasm the more they feel safe to do so.

ENEMIES
Avoided unless no other avenue is available. If they see an avenue to hassle someone without being caught, they will do it. Pettiness for the sake of petty is frequent.

ESTABLISHED ACQUAINTANCES
When in comfortable company, they are far bolder and apt to touch, but are still uncomfortable with being directly touched without permission. They love to ballbust and joke and press for information on turns of phrase or norms they're just not acquainted with.
Confrontations can often lead to burnt bridges unless there's some incentive to stick through it and resolve hurt feelings, but Knife does like to worry on grudges and hold them up as a sign of danger.

FRIENDS
They will be a sponge for personal information of all sorts, as much as a person may be willing to share or they wish to soak up. Around others, they will be very jealous for attention or a sense of priority in the hierarchy of their friend's focus. The razzing will continue, though they will be more attentive to how their rough demeanor is taken and try to soften up.
Their limited empathy can often lead to misunderstandings or bad snap judgments that can hurt feelings both ways, but if they truly feel valued by the friend, they will try to struggle through the muck rather than run away.

ROMANTIC PROSPECTS
Obsessively clingy, protective, and jealous, Knife will treat others in their partner's life as potential threats unless they too are friends with them. Much as they can mold their skin to suit a circumstance, they will mold their personality to fit into the space their partner gives them to fill.
Devotion is exhausting until they learn how to better discern their own boundaries and needs outside of their partner's, which means there will be spikes in irritability and sullen moments they aren't able to find the root cause of.

Knife is named for the implement that saved their life.

They remember being in a stone cell, starved and neglected until the Man of Science would visit and made them practice changing their body and voice, molding their skin to match the pictures given them to study. They do not know how long this went on, but the moment they were able to sneak out, they managed to escape to the root cellar and eat.

That's when they received the scar on their face.

The second time they found an out, they took the KNIFE and drove it through every warm body in their path until they set foot into the open air.

Since then, they have been on the run, borrowing features of people they studied to wear a foreigner's face and pick up seedy work that came with high risks, high rewards, and very few questions asked.

They are a CHANGELING and can mimic the physical attributes of small- and medium-sized bipeds. They cannot change their blood color (blue) or their clothing (hence their penchant to hoarding clothes/disguises).

They are favored by HEKATE, and have a small range of hex-based spells for survival and beguiling:

They are a SKILLED SEAMSTER and have made their clothes reversible for quick changes and escapes. Their penchant for petty theft often includes fabric so that they can embellish new outfits for future escapes or jobs.
